"The room was spacious and the bathroom a good size with an excellent shower. Despite being close to the M8 no traffic noise could be heard in the room and it was only a five minute walk into the centre of Glasgow. I had the best nights sleep ever in a hotel as the bed was extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel." (97760415)

Comfortable and convenient Easy to find from A1 A3. Tram stops immediately outside which takes you to the Metro.

Not a great breakfast - although for 4.5 euros probably value for money.

The parking was quite a unique experience and as it is across the road it was difficult with luggage

"In all the stay at the hotel was reasonable but not what I expected of an executive room in a 4 star hotel. As I work abroad I have stayed in many hotels all over the world so I know what to expect of a hotel with a 4 star rating." (99671070)

Leisure suite was very good, room cleaning staff were very polite and friendly, beds were comfortable, secure car parking was a bonus and relatively cheap

TV in room was of poor quality as was the picture, very high prices for internet and movies, bar prices were ridiculously high, room service charge was also high, silicon sealing around bath had black mould on it,the breakfast self service - food could have been better

I was not overly impressed with the restaurant menu.

"My grown-up daughter and I had separate (up-graded) apartments. The whole hotel was very well decorated and fitted-out. The Health Club looked very good although we did not have time to use this facility. The only meal we had in the hotel was breakfast which was very good. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The cost was a fair bit more than I would normally pay but you get what you pay for of course. It is a great pity we were very limited to time and did not therefore experience the whole range of activities there." (3305188416)

Upgraded to an apartment at no additional cost so that was excellent. Bathroom excellent, bed very comfortable, Plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar, which I like and which is unusual in a normal bedroom. Lighting, decor, furnishings, TV's and stereo all excellent

The upstairs bedroom area ceiling was too low and I, even though I am only 5'6 I had to stoop quite abit to get round the bed to where my clothes were hanging.

"With the free upgrade on arrival, the accommodation more than exceeded our expectations and although I say the noise was what I disliked, this was not in any way excessive, but when everything else is great you notice the little things. Our stay was based on DB&B and the included dinner menu was very limited with extras being charged even for the vegetarian and children's menu - important when travelling with older children who are not particularly catered for on the main menu - and £2.95 for a cappucino at breakfast definitely was ridiculous. Having said that the food was absolutely superb, the staff very helpful and friendly and it will be my first choice when I next visit Glasgow." (3305108270)

High standard of accommodation - relaxing modern decor, well equipped and clean

Could be noisy with either when the air conditioning was on or with external noise when the windows were open and as the apartment above had laminate floors you could hear noise from there too.

"generally excellent. the comfort, size of room, cleanliness, nice small touches and staff who checked us in were excellent. so impressed." (3305162990)

everything was perfect, the room was gorgeous and well worth the money. you don't get that service and facilities for 100 quid in many hotels in glasgow.

the girl who checked us out. The girl who checked us in was fantastic but in the morning, she was very moody and didn't show much customer service for such a nice hotel.

"Very nice hotel, with lovely spa, convenient parking, and the hotel is convenient for the centre of Glasgow. Staff were a little subdued at times - but they were very busy, especially the first night, when they had a hundred people for dinner at 8.00pm, and were understaffed - the girl in the bar was new and had no support." "The hotel was very nice and we had a large comfortable room, which our 14 month old son really enjoyed. We understand that there was a major conference in Glasgow during our stay, so unfortunately the hotel was certainly not value for money. The only disappointment was the breakfast - The food was not great and the staff were very slow and not very attentive. Bar prices were expensive for Glasgow (A glass of wine was £7.95!)" (3305035872)

Nice large room. Ideal for our 14 month old son to explore.

A little bit out of the main part of town

  • 8/10 Anonymous (Group of adult friends)

"I was very happy with the accommodation. The service with regards to the bar and restaurant were not as good.On the fisrt evening, the bar only had 2 bottles of bitter lemon. The next evening they had 3! This seemed a very small amount to stock. We had difficulty in booking a suitable time for the dinner as the restaurant had no available tables. When seated it then took 20 mins. for someone to take our order and only on attracting their attention. The order for side dishes was wrong and the chunky chips did not arrive until we were nearly finished our main course. Although we enjoyed our stay at the hotel I feel that there could be improvements made in the restaurant and bar area. The consierge was entremely helpful and pleasant." (3304676750)

Unable to answer the door quickly enough/time to put clothes on. Felt it was very intrusive. Should have waited for a reply to door. Did they know we had checked into the room? • 9/10 Graham (Young couple)

    from Aberdeen , United Kingdom;GB on  May 31, 2006

"The hotel is well located for the city centre with only a relatively short walk and yet is about as cloe to the motorway as you can get although the junction you come off on can be a bit conusing for those visiting for the first time. The area itself seems a bit run down but is in the process of being improved, the aproach road is full of potholes. Don't be put off by this, the hotl is in a league well above the appearance of its' surroundings and we've never had any problems. The staff at check in always make you feel welcome, even when we've turned up looking like a dogs dinner! The room has always been exceptional and the beds are very comfortable. Room service has a reasonable selection and doesn't cost the earth, we usually have breakfast in bed. On the one occasion we had breakfast in the dining area we found it had a good selection and was well set out although it was a self service buffet which we're not so fond of. The leisure suite is very nice, the pool was lovely and the steam room and sauna were clean. The bar staff are sociable, welcoming and attentive. Departure, as I've mentioned before, is relaxed. We never seem to get away on time but we've never been harassed. Overall the management should be very proud of it's staff, they appear genuinely keen to provide for the customer to the highest standard." (3304738015)

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and the hotel is always clean and of an excellent standard. The rooms are very comfortable and even though the hotel is close to the Kingston bridge the soundproofing is such that you never feel bothered by traffic noise. We've stayed on a number of occasions and don't feel the need to try anywhere else. You never feel chased out on the day of departure. A typical example of the standard of service is that we accidentally cut off our call to room service last visit and they rang us back on the other room telephone before we even realised!

It might be helpful if the hotel had a preferential service with one of the Taxi providers as during peak periods you can find there can be a wait. The driveway in front of reception is very steep for cars with a low front spoiler, both myself and my friend have scraped ours pulling in to drop people off.

MOST DEFINATELY GOING TO GO DOWN AND STAY AGAIN AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL BOOK THE APPARTMENT THIS TIME .......IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT." (3304508047)

IT WAS LVELY, WE WERE KINDLY GIVEN A COMPLEMENTARY UP-GRADE ON ARRIVAL, PUTTING US INTO AN APPARTMENT, WHICH I MIGHT ADD WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL, REALLY WAS A LOVELY THING FOR THEM TO DO.

A VERY SMALL GRUMBLE, THE SWIMMING POOL WASNT VERY WARM AND THE JACCUZZI WASNT VERY CLEAN THE WATER WAS A BIT DARK AND MURKY LOOKING SO WE NEVER GOT IN, BUT THAT WAS ALL. IT WAS SUCH A LOVELY STAY.

"I was welcomed at a friendly reception on the sat afternoon. I was out later on that day and phoned the hotel to arrange champagne to be sent to the room. When I got back, it was there as requested (i had only been out for 20 mins)! Dinner was great both nights, excellent cuisine and something for everyone, including good vegetarian options. Sunday was spent relaxing by the pool, ideal for blowing away the cobwebs! We were constantly (but not to excess) asked if everything was in order, and generally well looked after. Unlimited toast requests by us at breakfast were not a problem for the staff either! I would definitely book again." (3304160917)

Swimming pool, gym on hand, nice restaurant & bar. Staff always friendly, and it was 5 mins from my office which was handy for Monday morning! Very welcoming place, and free on site parking a big bonus!

It was all good, from reception to room service. Only qualm I would have was lack of interesting TV channels.Apart from bbc1 thro to channel 5, it was all news channels. I mean who wants to unwind in a hotel room with only news channels to watch?! Apart from that, everything else was great!

Good sized beds (superking) and spacious rooms even for standard rooms. The parking facility is such a bonus in the city.

Staff were not as welcoming as the times we've stayed under the Milton ownership. A 12 o'clock check out would be useful on weekends espacially. Despite us putting off the air conditioning, in the room we had(604), there was quite a hum from the hotel fans which was annoying.
